I also help during the week with anything that needs doing and volunteer some of my time too. Working here has helped me to build my confidence and I get to meet lots of new people.
I like it so much because I get to work with people from lots of different backgrounds.

Since joining the Spark, I’ve already began doing things I thought I'd never see myself do such as speak in groups bigger then 3 people and I think this will really help me get to where I need to be.

Hi, I'm Ruby and I am a Young Leader at Spark and I am also part of the youth Voice group called Truth of The Youth and I help at the Junior Youth Club on a Monday night. The group has been a way to amplify my voice as well as other young people's voices. Since being part of the group, I have learnt that I can express my opinions without being judged and this has given me a real boost in my confidence. By being part of the Spark family, I now have the ability to speak in front of large groups and also take the lead when working with children and other young people.

I help to run the Junior Youth Club every Monday, partake in the Truth of the Youth group every Wednesday (a place for young people like myself to express our opinions and work towards a goal), and help with the HAF sessions and other bits and bobs that need some extra support.
As a young person I feel that I can better communicate with people more my age, and so being a youth worker just makes sense.
Besides working at SPARK, I’m a sixth form student working towards finishing my A-levels and going to Uni to be a social worker, where I’ll be able to continue supporting the youth, and hopefully carry on working alongside the fantastic team here at SPARK, as I honestly couldn’t wish for a more brilliant group of people to spend my time with.

Hi, I’m Logan.
I joined Spark through the Young Leader programme and attend The Truth youth group every Wednesday.
I really enjoy being part of a group where I feel I can make changes for other young people and since joining, I've definitely felt a difference in my own confidence.
I also work for Spark a few days a week with other tasks.
